Ten Rules of World Rallyman Cup (Thank you to Donald Mac Donald for the translation)
Article 1 - Fair Play: The tournament is intended as a friendly competition, with no other purpose than the enjoyment gained by participating. It is therefore imperative that all competitors comply with the Rules of Fair Play enacted in this Charter.

Article 2 - CCCR, le Collège des Commissaires de Course de Rallyman
: The Competition is supervised by le Collège des Commissaires de Course de Rallyman (the Guild of Rallyman Course Adjudicators) which has full authority to regulate all disputes, dissensions or appeals which may occur during Rally trials. This Authority is impartial, neutral and wishes primarily to be concerned with competition management rather than draconian enforcement measures.

Art 3 - Rules
: The rules of play used for the Championship are the standard Rules of Play with following stipulations:
  • When there is more than one driver taking part in the rally, players may choose to complete each Stage individually - ie with no other drivers on the Stage - or as per the normal rules. In the case where the former method is chosen, each driver takes their turn when the previous driver has completed the Stage.
  • In order that each driver has an equal chance on the Stage, players may CHOOSE not to place dirt markers on the track whenever a dirt card is drawn from the K deck.
  • After recording a driver’s time at the end of a stage, all cards are fed back into their decks and the 3, 4, 5 and K decks must be re-shuffled.
  • Soft tyres may be used.
  • The Ace Driver card may be used.
  • Where there are special rules pertaining to a particular Rally, these will be explained in the Road Book.

Article 4 - The Championship
: The Championship season comprises 12 Rallies, one for each month of the Championship year. The Championship calendar can be found on the website, www.rallyman.fr, with dates for the completion of each Rally marked in red.
Any player may submit suggestions for rally stages; however, the game’s designer, JC Bouvier - known as the Master - has full and final authority over the final design of each Rally. Anyone wishing to suggest a plan for a Stage or Rally may make submissions to the CCCR, which will in turn forward them to JC Bouvier for final assessment.

Article 5 - The World Rallyman Cup:
The 12 Rallies undertaken by the drivers shall form an open competition - The World Rallyman Cup - which is won each year by the best driver of the season. The winner does not receive any prize, trophy, or other gratuity or advantage, other than the satisfaction of winning; and the friendly and sporting congratulations of the community of Rallyman driving enthusiasts!

Article 6 - Calculation of Championship Points:
Points will be allocated to drivers who finish in the top 20 places on any given rally, with 20 points awarded to the driver finishing in first position, 19 in second… with 1 point allotted to the driver coming 20th in the general classification. Beyond 20th place, drivers will not qualify for points, but their participation will be recorded by the CCCR for the end-of-year classification - plus all players will have had the pleasure of taking part in that round of the Championship!

Article 7 - Pariticipation in the Championship: The final classification for the year will be published on the website after examination of the results for all 12 of that Season’s monthly rallies. Any suspect performance may result in disqualification, so we ask all participants to ensure compliance with the spirit of the rules for this final classification. Please note, however, that anyone participating in some, but not all, events on the calendar who does so honestly and fairly, will still have their overall position recorded in the final classification in November 2011.

Art 8 - Deadlines for Time Submissions: It is imperative that all participants submit their best performance for any Rally by the deadline shown on the forum. It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that the deadline is met. Times submitted after the deadline has expired may still be accepted; however, a fixed penalty of 10 minutes shall be added to the accumulated total for the the driver in question.

Article 9 - “Super Rally” Rule:
Any driver forced to retire from a Special Stage may make an appeal through the “Super Rally” procedure. This is to ensure that all drivers have a chance to finish the Rally and Championship. Drivers making such an appeal shall be given a time which is the total of the Stage time recorded by the player finishing in last place PLUS one minute. (Last place is defined as the slowest player submitting a time by the due deadline and does not include the 10 minute penalty given to players who exceed the deadline.) After receiving this time penalty, the driver shall be able to continue in the Rally and the Championship from the next Stage - after all, it’s the taking part that counts, and we all want to have fun!

Article 10 - Classification by Team:
For the 2011 Season, we propose to run a Team Competition. A team may have as many drivers as it wishes, but only the times of the best two drivers in each Rally will count toward the Team Classification. The points for these two best times - which may be by various drivers for different Events - shall be added to the cumulative total for the Team as the Season progresses.

Final Note:
the CCCR was created to oversee the operation of Competition WRC. It is formed of Rallyman players with one goal: to ensure everyone has fun and enjoys participating in a friendly Competition based around the excellent game of Rallyman! CCCR is an authority open to any suggestions, queries or information. Please do not hesitate to contact us!
